Configuring Manual Sales Posting
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions and following details:

Creating New Manual Sales Posting
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting ➜ New Sales. The New Sales page appears.
Refer to the following table and fill in the fields:

The Item List section gets activated.
Click to expand the Item List section to add items under products.
Select the preferred category from the Product drop-down list:

Items - a single item that belongs to the inventory
-
Packages - a logical grouping of inventory items
-
Class - a broader classification of the inventory item
-
Type - the type of inventory item
Perform a keyword search in the Search box. Users must enter the name/number/barcode/description in the Search box if the selected item belongs to an inventory.
Select the desired items by enabling the respective checkboxes.
Click Select. The created items appear under the Item List section with the following details:

The price of the item per unit. The price of the product defined under Masters ➜ Products will be auto populated in this field. If required, users can also modify the price and will not replace the actual price that was defined. |

The total cost of the item (item quantity × item price per quantity). The total amount gets auto filled when the quantity and price are entered. Also, if the value (amount) in this field is altered or modified, the value in the Price field also changes and is automatically updated. |

Tax Rate%(1) |
The tax rate that is configured in Setup ➜ Product Types. Based on the selected tax type, the tax rate must be defined for a region under Setup ➜ Tax Rates ➜ New Tax Rates. |

Tax Rate%(2) |
The tax rate that is configured in Setup ➜ Product Types. Based on the selected tax type, the tax rate must be defined for a region under Setup ➜ Tax Rates ➜ New Tax Rates. |

Click on the item.
Click on the next item and enter the unit, quantity, and remarks. Perform the same for other items, if any.
Adding New Item List
Enter the name/number/barcode/description of an item in the Search box. A pop-up appears with the list of items.
Click Add New. The Add New Item List pop-up appears.
Fill in the details in all the mandatory fields.
Click Save to save the changes.
Click Set Item.
Filtering Items from the Item List
Users can filter items from the item list based on the filter parameters.
Click the Filter icon. The Filters pane appears with the following filter parameters:

Type
Select the preferred filter option.
Click Apply.
Deleting Items from the Item List
Click to expand the Item List section to add items under products.
Search for or enter the name/number/barcode/description in the Search box. The items available in the inventory are displayed under the Item List section.
Select the item to be deleted by enabling the checkbox corresponding to the item.
Click the Delete icon. The item is deleted from the inventory list but is available in the inventory.
Configure Media Assignment
Once the items are added or modified, media assignment must be configured.
Users can assign the medium of payment received from the list of media available. The amount received can be from different medium and may or may not match with the grand total of the sales posting.
Any balance amount to be received or any additional amount is auto filled under the Over/Short media type. Over/Short is a read only system-defined media type field. Users can enter only numerical values.
It is recommended not to deactivate the Over/Short media type.
Click Media Assignment. The Media Assignment pop-up appears.
The media types created under Setup ➜ Accounting ➜ Media Types are displayed in the Media Assignment section.
Fill in the details in all the fields in the Media Assignment pop-up.
Click Confirm.
Click Post. The Post Sales pop-up appears.
Click Confirm. The sale is successfully posted.
Or
Click Post & Print. The Confirmation pop-up window appears.
The Post & Print and Post button will be activated only upon entering the quantity of the item/s.
Viewing Sales Posting Account Summary
The Account Summary section gets activated only when a sale transaction is saved or posted. This section includes the following details:

Tax category and its corresponding tax amount

Credit accounts to which the media collected gets credited

Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click on a sale transaction. The sale transaction page appears with the following details.
Click Account Summary. The Account Summary pop-up appears on the right hand side of the page.
Duplicating Manual Sales Posting
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click on a sale transaction. The sale transaction details page appears.
Click Copy as new. The New Sales page appears.
Modify the preferred details under the following sections:

Click Post. The Post Sales pop-up appears.
Click Confirm. The sales are successfully posted.
Reversing Manual Sales Posting
Users can reverse a saved sales posting for the following reasons:

Reverses sales for incorrect or double postings
-
Reversing manual and electronic sales postings offset the original sales activity
The reversal of sales posting is recorded as a new sale transaction with the transaction numbers following the sequential order.
When a transaction is reversed, a reversal is initiated for the inventory item depletion and results in an increase of the QOH. When the transaction is reversed, the media types collected is also reversed to the same location from where it was collected. The reversal of transactions involving media types is recorded in the General Ledger.
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click on a sale transaction. The sale transaction details page appears. The Reverse button gets enabled only when at least one transaction is selected.
Click Reverse. The Reverse Sales Post pop-up appears.
Click Confirm to proceed with the reversing of the sale transaction.
Reversing Manual Sales Posting in Batch
Users can reverse multiple sale transactions under Manual Sales Posting. Users can reverse a maximum of up to 25 sale records only. If the user exceeds a reversal of 25 or more records, the user will be blocked or restricted from reversing sales posting.
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Select multiple sales posting by enabling the checkboxes across transactions. The Reverse button gets enabled only when at least one transaction is selected.
Click Reverse. The Reverse Sales Post pop-up appears.
Click Confirm to proceed with the reversing of the sale transactions.
Printing Manual Sales Posting
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click on a sale transaction. The sale transaction details page appears.
Click Print.
Product Activity - Item Sales
Users can view the sales activity of the respective products for a restaurant/location by performing the following steps:
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click to open and view a preferred sale transaction. The sale transaction details page appears.
Under Item List ➜ Actions, click the ellipsis corresponding to the item.
Click Item Sales under Actions. The Item Sales page for the selected product - item is displayed.
Viewing Product Details
Users can view the product information, linked inventory items and linked recipes across all sections under Manual Sales Posting where the products are listed.
The product zoom functionality is available under the following sections:

Item list under Create New Plan - Product ID will be the link to open the product zoom page

Item List under View Saved Sale Plan - Product ID will be the link to open the product zoom page

Item List under Edit Saved Sale Plan - Product ID will be the link to open the product zoom page
Click Sales ➜ Manual Sales Posting. The Manual Sales Posting page appears with the list of transactions.
Click to open and view a preferred sale transaction. The sale transaction details page appears.
Click on the information icon corresponding to the item under Item Sales. The Product Zoom section with the selected item appears.
Click on the inventory item from the Item List section. A detailed information of the item appears on the right-hand side of the screen. The item information includes the following:
